Raspberry Suite Color Challenge # 14

Dawn McVey's color challenge this week was to use the colors: Raspberry, Cream, Scarlet and Purple. The last time I tried to do the challenge I ended making a card using completely different colors to those in the challenge. I guess the good thing is I made a card, just couldn't enter into the challenge! This time I've actually made a card sticking to the challenge colors!

Supplies used (all PTI unless stated):
Stamps: Everyday button bits
Ink: Raspberry Fizz, Plum Pudding, Scarlet Jewel
Paper: Rustic Cream, Bitty box basics
Other: Plum Pudding ribbon, Hibiscus Burst buttons, adhesive pearls, Fiskers punch

PTI's July Blog Hop

Yayyyy, I'm so happy, I passed my American driving test today. Even though I have an English licence I still had to do the full test again (written and driving) to be able to drive over here. I was sooooo nervous, I felt like a teenager again! I've been putting off doing the test for a long time, so its a bit of weight off my shoulders.

Anyway, just had to share that!

Onto the blog hop. This month's PTI blog hop challenge was to create a card using text somehow in the design (I guess not counting the sentiment). Although I wasn't very adventurous using the text background under the button flowers, I like the end result.

Supplies used (PTI unless stated):

Stamps: Button bits
Ink: Dark chocolate, Ripe avocado, Hibiscus burst, Summer sunrise
Paper: Aqua mist bitty dots, Lemon tart bitty box, Stampers select white
Buttons: Hibiscus burst, Vintage cream
Ribbon: Lemon tart polka dot, Cream twine, Martha stewart bakers twine
Punches: EK success edge punch

Thanks for taking a look & Happy Hopping!

PTI's May Blog Hop Challenge

This is the card I made for PTI's latest Blog Hop Challenge (to include the color Yellow in a card/project). I really enjoyed making this card as I got to use all of my new supplies from PTI! I also used my non-existent stitching skills for the first time on a card (kind of difficult to see, but its either side of the Aqua Mist ribbon). I'm actually pleased with how it turned out!

These are the supplies:

Stamps: Bird watching, Text style
Ink: Lemon tart, Hibiscus burst, Dark chocolate, PTI's tea dye set
Paper: Aqua mist, Kraft, Rustic cream
Other: Aqua mist ribbon, Cream twine, EK Success punch,

PTI's Spring Fling Challenge

This is the card I made using Michelle Wooderson's (PTI) picture and card as inspiration. I loved the look of stamping images onto the bitty dot paper Michelle used on her card, so I decided to give it ago myself, whilst trying to use colors from the Spring picture.
All supplies I used are PTI apart from a Martha Stewart punch (from Michaels) for the bottom of the Spring Moss paper. The stamps I used for the top half are all from the Green Thumb set and the little flowers on the bottom half are from the Life set. Oh and the sentiment is from Mega Mixed messages. Almost forgot, the papers I used are Bitty dot spring moss and Bitty dot Lemon tart from PTI.

PTI April Blog Hop Challenge

I used Lauren's template, Perfect Match Box, to make this. My parents will be visiting in a few weeks time, so I'm going to fill this little box with some chocolates and leave it on my Mum's bedside table in our guest bedroom!
I used the following supplies to decorate the box (I apologize in advance for any wrong names/spellings, my little one has been a monkey all day, not to mention the husband, I'm just pooped!):
Paper: PTI white cardstock.
Inks: Summer Sunrise, Hibiscus Burst, Ripe avocado, Spring Moss.
Stamps: Green Thumb
Ribbon: Hibiscus Burst bitty dot, Martha Stewart bakers twine.
Other: Martha Stewart punch, Ranger clear embossing powder.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's creations. Happy Blogging!

This is a b-day card I made for my aunt. Hopefully it will make its way to England without the buttons falling off!
All the supplies used were PTI apart from the bakers twine on the buttons (Martha Stewart).

This is my first entry into Dawn McVey's Color Challenge (http://www.dawnmcvey.typepad.com/). I've never used these colors together (especially Berry Sorbet with Pure Poppy red!), so this was a challenge for me!! Here's a list of supplies I've used:

Ink: PTI Pure Poppy & Vintage cream, VersaMagic Pixie Dust chalk ink.
Paper: PTI Pure Poppy, Kraft, Vintage Cream and Bazzill Bling paper (don't know the color!).
Other: PTI Berry Sorbet satin ribbon, pearls (from Archivers), oh, I almost forgot I put a little Art Institute glitter on the flower!

Easter card

I made this card to be enclosed in an Easter parcel I'm sending out to my brother, sister-in-law and nephew in England. I don't have any "Happy Easter" sentiment stamps yet, so just wrote the sentiment inside! This is kind of a combination of a couple of other cards on my blog. These are the supplies I used:

Paper (PTI): Kraft, Ripe avocado, Spring rain, Bitty dots in Spring rain.

Stamps (PTI): Life

Ink (PTI): Ripe avocado, Spring moss, Spring rain.

Other: Spring moss gingham ribbon, Vintage cream button, twine for button, sticky pearls (not sure what make, but I got these from Archivers). I also used Fiskers scallop & butterfly punches.

PTI March Blog Hop Challenge

This is my first PTI blog hop challenge! I'm looking forward to getting lots of inspiration from other bloggers using PTI products.
I love the images on the Friends til the End set, so I used the smaller flower for the background on this card. Its really easy to make an impressive looking card with this set (good for beginners like me!).
These are the supplies I used for the above card (all PTI):
Paper: Vintage cream, True black & Raspberry Fizz.
Stamps: Friends til the End & Retro background.
Ink: True black & Raspberry fizz.
Other: Vintage cream buttons & True black polka dot ribbon.
Happy blogging!

Scrunched flowers

Heres another really bad photo of a card I've made. Hopefully I'll have some better quality photos soon as we will be getting a new camera (once we've decided on what we want!).

I keep seeing cards made with scrunched up flowers. They look really pretty, so I decided to give it a go.

Supplies used (PTI):

Paper: Kraft cardstock, bitty dots in Spring Moss, Spring Moss cardstock Plum Pudding. Stamps: Paper tray, Retro backgrounds. Ink: Vintage cream, Ripe Advocado. Accent: Vintage cream button.

Experimenting with PTI Friends til the End

I love the flower images on the PTI Friend's til the End stamp set, so was just experimenting with this card. Can't really see the detail on this photo (camera is awful!), I punched holes around the middle of each flower (as I did on my previous card posted). I used supplies from the PTI quick kit, kraft card and co-ordinating bitty dots paper.

Wedding flowers

This is my little daughter Alyssa, isn't she beautiful?! This is a picture of Alyssa holding her 'wedding flowers!' She told myself and hubby yesterday that she wants to get married to Wallace (Wallace & Gromit, a childrens animation) and she needed some wedding flowers. So Myron suggested that she pick herself some flowers at Publix. She spent most of the evening proudly holding onto her flowers! For your information, a couple of weeks ago she wanted to marry Woody from Toystory!

(English) Mother's Day card!

This is a little card I made for my Mum. It's Mothers Day in England later this month, so decided to try out some new PTI supplies on a card. I find it strange that Mothers Day for America and England are at different times of the year, but Fathers Day is the same date with both?!

I used Spring Moss ribbon, bitty dots paper and ink, also Lavender Moon cardstock, bitty dots and ink, oh, and Dark Choc ink for the sentiment. Of course I used some more pearl sticky things on the retro backround!

CPS Challenge 104

This is the card I created for the CPS104 challenge. I used the new PTI Friends til the End stamp with the quick kit. Also used some of those sticky pearl accents as well!
